We have nice chats throughout the day and it feels great to help where I can, when he needs it. I've also been lucky to develop a relationship with his family and they feel like extra family now. We shared Christmas dinner together which was great as I'm a student and have no family left in the UK; they made an effort to make me feel included throughout the holidays. It's been awesome to learn things about the gentleman I live with as his life has been incredibly interesting and I can share some of my own experiences back. He's become an adopted grandfather which has been a bonus! This is exactly what I needed when relocating back to the UK to study.
