We have an opportunity for a Homesharer to live sociably in Redcar, only a short walk away from local amenities and the beach.

Our Householder is a 68 year old, retired female. She is a polite, independent lady who is looking for a personable individual who is clean and tidy, can live sociably, enjoy conversations, spend time with and eat meals with her. She has travelled widely and enjoys crafting, spending time with her two dogs and socialising with friends. The Householder would benefit from someone who is independent but also enjoys companionship and every day conversations. There is a possibility of having access to the Householder's car.

The ideal Homesharer will be someone who enjoys quiet company. Ideally the sharer will have some free time during evenings, weekends and at times during the day to offer support and company.

The Property and Room

The home is spacious and situated across 2 floors, with access to a large back garden and drive way parking. It is located just over one mile away from Redcar beach, in a residential area. The property is within walking distance to shops, a library, train station, cafes, and a cinema. The location has great transport links including buses to Redcar, Middlesbrough and Whitby.

On the ground floor you will have access to an open plan living room and dining room, with French doors opening into the rear garden. You will also have use of the kitchen.

The room available is situated on the first floor and is a spacious bedroom with a single bed (which pulls out into a double), currently furnished with a desk, wardrobe and drawers. The Homesharer will have access to a spacious, shared bathroom consisting of a walk-in shower, toilet, sink and bath.

The Homeshare Agreement

As part of this low cost living arrangement you would live sociably and offer practical support and companionship in lieu of rent.

At Homeshare North East we look for a Homesharer who is able to share for a minimum of 6 months. After this time, if the Homeshare is working out it may be extended with the agreement of both parties, or if not, we can help you find another Homeshare match.

This is a position advertised on behalf of the Householder. Homeshare North East carry out reference checks on both parties and an enhanced DBS check on Homesharers prior to introducing you to each other. We have various policies in place to allow shares to take place and the safety of both parties is our primary priority.

Cost:

With an initial £100 registration fee and £280 per month, bills included. This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay rent to the Homeowner.
