Burnopfield NE16

We have an opportunity for a Homesharer to live sociably in the semi-rural village of Burnopfield, only a short walk away from local amenities,

Our Householder is a 50 year old male currently living in the semi-rural village of Burnopfield.

Our Householder enjoys pottering around at home, getting out when he can and usually watches TV during the evening to relax. He is looking for a 30-55 year old individual who is clean, organised, friendly and understanding.

The Householder is looking for someone to provide background companionship and background assistance with various domestic tasks (on an ad-hoc basis). Also someone who would be prepared to go out 2-3 times per week. This might be for walks, errands, eats/drinks, theatre, cinema etc.

The ideal Homesharer will be someone who is patient, understanding and enjoys a healthy balance of their own company and interaction with the householder. Ideally the sharer will be an individual who is able to have some free time during the afternoons. He is more than happy to spend evenings alone, but equally as happy to be joined by the Homesharer to eat/watch TV.

The Property and Room

The property is situated in Burnopfield, only a short walk away from local amenities.

The home is spacious, 3 bedroom detached home, with access to a front and private rear garden, with private parking.

It is located in in a quiet residential estate. The property is within walking distance to shops, a cafe, GP surgery and pharmacy. The location has excellent transport links – with a bus stop only a short walk away.

The room available is a spacious bedroom with a single bed, currently furnished with a large built-in double wardrobe, nightstand and a large drawer/shelving unit will be added.

The kitchen is recently refurbished to a very high standard and there is an open plan living / dining area. The householder is hoping to have the home fully refurbished this year, along with the garden having a revamp.

The Homeshare Agreement

As part of this low cost living arrangement you would live sociably and offer practical support and companionship in lieu of rent. The Householder does have support from carers who visit once a day. No personal care is to be provided by the Homesharer.

At Homeshare North East we look for a Homesharer who is able to share for a minimum of 6 months. After this time, if the Homeshare is working out it may be extended with the agreement of both parties, or if not, we can help you find another Homeshare match.

This is a position advertised on behalf of the Householder. Homeshare North East carry out reference checks on both parties and an enhanced DBS check on Homesharers prior to introducing you to each other. We have various policies in place to allow shares to take place and the safety of both parties is our primary priority.

Cost:

With an initial £100 registration fee and £280 per month. This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay rent to the Homeowner.
